130 years of French Excellence in Papermaking
As Europe’s sole manufacturer of colored tissue paper, Léon Martin Paper Mills proudly upholds 130 years of French artisanal and industrial expertise since 1895. This family-owned business, now led by the 5th generation, reaffirms its commitment to responsible production and accelerates investments to strengthen its leadership in the European paper industry.
A Day to Celebrate Innovation and Heritage
On October 11, 2025, employees—both current and retired—gathered to mark this milestone, joined by M&M LUXE, a commercial partnership established in 2003 by Hélène Martin and Marie-Claude Moulet for the distribution of colored and custom tissue papers. The event featured family tours of the mills and presentations of future projects, highlighting the company’s ongoing innovation.

Unique Heritage Skills and Quality in Europe
Léon Martin Paper Mills perpetuates a rare artisanal heritage, producing 100% locally made colored tissue paper—a unique offering in today’s European market. The papers are crafted from virgin or FSC-certified recycled fibers, dyed in the mass, and customized in-house, embodying the pinnacle of French luxury and sustainability.

Ambitious and Concrete Sustainability Initiatives
Since 2020, Léon Martin has accelerated its transition to sustainable production:
- Circular Life Cycle: All papers are 100% recyclable, designed to minimize environmental impact from production to end use.
- Carbon Footprint Reduction: A new biomass steam generator, operational from 2026, will cut CO₂ emissions by 50%, a critical step toward achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
- Energy Autonomy: The installation of a new hydraulic turbine enhances green energy self-production, ensuring resilience against energy market volatility.
